    My I add that Daniel Mendoza is the great-great grandfather of actor/comedian Peter Sellers.

    From Mendoza's wiki page (references in popular culture section).....
    "The actor Peter Sellers was Mendoza's great-great-grandson, and he hung portraits of the boxer in the backgrounds of several of his films."
