While some of us here at JONJ used to enjoy Buffy the Vampire Slayer, none of us are what you'd call "big fans." And yet, Willow is our third Buffy profilee: Sarah Michelle Gellar and Seth Green were the other two.
Willow was suggested by Mickey from Notajewishtown, which is ironic since we're from New Notajewishtown. Who'dathunkit?
So now it's time to profile the actress who played her, Allyson Hannigan. Despite her Irish last name, she is Jewish on her mother's side (i.e. halachically) and she supposedly was raised Jewish, bat mitzvahed, etc.
ReplyDeleteThe author spelled the past tense of the verb "to lead" as "lead" instead of "led", possibly by analogy to read/read. I see this often from young people, even with good educations, so maybe it will become the dominant spelling some day. But to most people it still looks like someone wasn't listening the day that was covered in fourth grade.
