  1. An equally interesting take on him would be as the role of the main character's sleazy friend in the CBS hit "Early Edition". He kind of plays a Jewish guy in that show, though he mentions being "Russian" in one episode, but there's another episode where the character alludes to his Jewishness.

  2. I remember watching Short Circuit a lot as a kid (or maybe that's because it on TV ALL THE FRIGGIN TIME). Interesting that that's what he'll be remembered for when his documentary on dolphin-hunting won an Academy Award a few years ago. Which would kind of be akin to remembering Ronald Reagan as an actor and nothing else.

  4. Not the only dark-skinned Indian played by a white Jewish guy. Most famous is Hank Azaria's Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, but there's also Peter Sellers' Hrundi V. Bakshi and Sam Jaffe's Gunga Din. Oy!
