  1. Shalom. Thank you for profiling this actress! I am definitely light an extra Shabbat candle for you tonight. G-d Bless you, and Hallelujah! Shalom.

  2. BTW, I didn't see the "suggested by.." tag. Is that now in another place on the website, or was Ms. Tracee Ellis Ross suggested by too many people to name individually? In Any event Mazel Tov and Zei Gesundt!

  4. In the very first episode of black-ish, the older son wants to become Jewish because of all the Bar and Bat Mitzvahs he goes to of friends at the private school he attends. I have seen some black-ish forums (yes, I am a big fan of the show) say that the person who plays the son, Marcus Scribner, also has one Jewish parent, but I've never seen absolute evidence online.

black-ish, Goldbergs and Fresh Off the Boat are basically mirror images of one another where the family is black, Jewish, and Chinese respectively.

  5. I have at one time or another watched all three within the same night or program week. I considered it a treat to see them all, on broadcast television.

  6. Re: Marcus Scribner, it doesn't look it. Opening graf, re: the Bar Mitzvah--

"Growing up, he went to elementary school with predominantly Jewish peers and always wondered why he couldn’t have one of those rites of passage."

Were he part Jewish, there would be the time to mention his ancestry. Sounds like he just knew a lot of Jews.
