Giving credit where credit is due, this is the article I pulled the Bonilla info from: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=13459 It also mentions my favorite part of the story (that I wasn't able to include in the profile, sadly), that the money set aside for Bonilla's deferred payments was also invested with Madoff, so that's all gone, too.
Signs your fan base has reached rock bottom: when Philadelphia fans are lording it over you. No offense intended to the Phaithful, but just to be clear, this is the first time in the history of MLB someone can type "makes me glad I'm a Phillies fan" and not mean it ironically...
Is that true... the Mets are really still paying for Bobby Bonilla?

Things like this make me really, really glad that I'm a Phillies fan. On top of the NL East, and we get to claim Ruben Amaro, Jr.
