    Why didn't Salk or Sabin ever get a Nobel Peace Prize or a nomination?
    Why weren't they admitted to the NAS - National Academy of Sciences?
    Why?

    There was another guy who worked in competition? against Sabin and claims to have been the first to develop the live virus based vaccine: Hilary Koprowski. He was also Jewish.

    Moreover, Polio, Karl Landsteiner discovered the virus (same guy who defined the Rh factor for human blood profiling).
