A tiny bit "dark" looking as you say (he's 'mixed race' adopted by 'goyishe Germans' as you also said), but he honestly kind of "looks" Jewish for lack of a better way to put it. Given that he is adopted and I've read nothing out there about his birth parents, any possibility the "white" birth parent is Jewish?
I realize that's kind of remote, and I not actually one of those desperate to find anything Jewish about him, but I thought it was still worth pointing out. Obviously, there is zero Jewish about him in terms of his upbringing or lifestyle, but just a thought....
This is his birth mother, Heidi Russo. She doesn't seem Jewish to me. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2243429/Colin-Kaepernick-Biological-mother-Heidi-Russo-wants-relationship-quarterback-son-gave-up.html
And of course, given that, I doubt his birth father was Jewish either (black?).
His maternal grandparents are James and Phyllis Zabransky of Wisconsin. I can't find very many Jews with that surname, especially in Wisconsin... http://mediamrs.com/main/2013/02/super-bowl-bound-49ers-qb-colin-kaepernicks-biological-grandparents-say-they-would-have-helped-their-daughter-keep-him-instead-of-giving-him-up-for-adoption/

No she doesn't sound Jewish at all.....I think it's settled.
